The British Car Industry has been in decline in the over the last couple of decade, and many manufacturers like Rover have long gone bankrupt, and disappeared altogether. Many others have been sold to other companies or investors, but are still being made in Britain. These are

Aston Martin – owned by two investments companies from Kuwait, Investment Dar and Adeem Investments. The are being build in Gaydon, Warwichshire

Bentley Motors – owned by Volkswagen and built in Crewe

Jaguar/Land Rover – owned by Tata Motor Company of India. They share production facilities in Liverpool and the West Midlands

Lotus – owned by Proton of Malasyia, and is built in Norfolk

Mini – owned by BMW and built in Oxford

MG Motors – owned by SAIC of China and built at Longbridge, Birmingham

Rolls Royce – also owned by BMW and are being built in Goodwod
